Over the past decade, I've worked on tens of hobby projects (programming, electronic, or more generally DIY projects). Sadly most of theme were never finished (they were left as TODO). These un-finished projects (on which I have spent hundreds of hours) were never shared online. Most of them are just rusting in a basement or in a old hardrive at the back of a drawer.
Left As TODO is a blog on which I will share with you these projects on which I'm working on. I'll write about my different project's idea, and on their progress. It will allow me to write and share my work even if my project is not finished yet.
I think that sharing projects, even if unfinished, can be very interesting as: - it will force me to clearly write down the goals of these projetcs - it might give me more motivation to 'finish' more projects - in case of difficulty maybe someone might be able to help me - more generally it will allow me to keep a record of the different 'things' i have worked on - it might be usefull for other people, I've learned a lot myself reading other people's blog, so maybe one of these article can be of help for others.
I'll try to describe the different steps and paths I took to build these different projects, even if they were not successfull. The goal of theses hobbyits projetcs are for me to learn new things, so I might write a lot of mistakes at first, but it's part of the journey!
Left As TODO is one of my project. Hence it is possible that I never finish to set up the blog, or that I stop writing blog tickets because I moved on to another project. As this blog is on of my project I'll try to share with you the current state of my work on it (I love meta).
Over the past years I have mostly worked on IT-related projects, especially embedded projects (electronics, software, FPGA etc.). But I'm not only a computer nerd, I also like to build stuff with my hands (3D printers, handheld consoles, telescopes, boat modeling). So I might also share these projects here. And why not on other un-related topics (cinema, travel etc.) it's my blog I can do what I want in here!
My name is Sébastien, I've always liked to work on custom projects and pick-up new skils.
